If you know our pack, you know that we are always on the go. Whether it’s camping, hiking, or a day at the beach, if we’re going, we try our best to take the pups with us too. I’m so excited to share this innovative product with you guys. It’s made things so much easier for us on our travels. I introduce to you, the Wrapsit soft pet crate.
What is a Wrapsit?

I’m so glad you asked! Wrapsit is a soft pet crate that attaches seamlessly to your standard folding camping chair. You know, the one you’re bringing with you everywhere already? Ball games, barbecues, camping trips, concerts. They’re the most portable, most common chair out there and the Wrapsit makes them 100x more valuable for pet owners.
Are They a Pain to Install Though?

I was honestly prepared for a pain in the butt installation, but the Wrapsit was not complicated to set up at all! The initial installation on my camp chair took me maybe 5 minutes. It comes with super easy to follow instructions that made it a breeze.
The best part is that you only have to install it once! Once the crate is attached to your chair, you can keep it on there so it’s always ready to use. Your chair just folds right up like normal and the Wrapsit stays put. Bonus… once folded, the Wrapsit also becomes a carry bag for your chair. No more stuffing your chair back in a bag when you’re done using it. They’ve really thought of everything!
How We Use the Wrapsit

We’ve used our Wrapsit all over, but I especially love using it at RV campgrounds for Roxie. She’s great off-leash, but most campgrounds have leash laws. The Wrapsit solves two problems simultaneously. First, it gives Roxie a place to hang out there she’s “contained,” therefore appeasing campground hosts. There’s even a metal D ring right over the opening where you can attach a leash if you need to.
A Shady Reprieve
Secondly, the Wrapsit also provides Roxie with a comfy escape from the sun. Especially this time of year, shade is at a premium at campgrounds. We try our best to pick sites that LOOK like they should be relatively shaded, but it’s really hard to do. More often than not, we’re booking online with very little information and basically picking a campsite blindly. If we’re lucky, there’s one tiny thumbnail of the site that you can squint at and attempt to analyze for things like grade, space, shade, etc.

Roxie gets overheated easily in full sun, so having a cozy place for her to nap and relax after hitting the trails where she isn’t getting scorched is HUGE! The Wrapsit has been a perfect solution.
Our Favorite Features
You can tell that the designers of this crate spent a lot of time thinking about every little detail. We already mentioned the ease of use, the shade element, and the leash attachment. Some of our other favorite features are the wide opening that allows your dog an easy entry and exit, the waterproof bottom that keeps the inside of the crate nice and dry, even on wet grass, and the ventilation. The ventilation on this is better than any of the other dog shades and tents that we have used in the past. Every side is a super durable mesh, so you get great airflow to help keep your pet nice and cool, even on warmer days.
Who Would We Recommend the Wrapsit to?

The Wrapsit is PERFECT for an owner with a small/medium dog. We primarily use it for Roxie, who is smaller girl, about 13 lbs. She’s long and lanky, but even with her stature, she has plenty of room to move around in there. Obviously, because the crate attaches to a camp chair, there are inherent size limitations. That being said, it is a lot roomier than you think. The interior of the crate gives you 5 cubic feet of space, plenty of room for her to lie down, sit up, stand, and move around. I think Ringo (who’s about 22 lbs) could probably even fit in the Wrapsit, though then Roxie would have to give up her coveted comfy spot, which is not going to happen.
Wrapsit is a Great Solution for:
Camping
RVing
Ball Games
The Beach
Sports Practice/Games
Barbecues
Pool Parties
Picnics in the park
Concerts
… Anywhere you bring your chair!

Wow, I really like the looks of this Wrapsit soft pet crate. I like that it can be stored pretty easily after initial setup. I really like how it helps keep the pup shaded as well. Nice review and pictures.
What a clever idea! Compact and perfect for RV travel. I bet it would be really good for use with one of those chairs at the beach too.
I need this this weekend… right now. I’m off camping with my dog (‘ruffing’ it more than I’m used to) for research purposes of course. I need this to keep my little guy safe. Is it easy for them to get out?
That looks like such a clever product for adventures with your dog. Not sure Kilo would want to sit in there as he likes to be on my knee but treats could probably convince him. He overheats easily so the shade would be handy.
This is a great gift idea and super convenient and practical for pups! When the weather gets really hot it’s so important to have options to keep them safe, cool and comfortable. This wrapsit is very clever. Thanks for sharing! P.S. I love the photo with all the dogs in the RV – Super cute!
It’s amazing what ideas people come up with! I have to laugh trying to imagine using this with a Rottweiler, though 🙂
I have one of these! I was given it by Wrapsit at BlogPaws and as our cats are outsiders/insiders I didn’t use it. I know that it really is the perfect spot for a small dog or cat who loves to travel. A safe nook for a secure break.
I love this idea – it would be perfect for our next trip to Florida. A great way to keep the pups shaded, and the bugs away from them. My husband could take Henry fishing with him. And, park a cold one (or two) in the armrests!
This is very cool. I want to start camping with my dogs – my pups are a bit bigger than Roxie, by 50 pounds or so. Is there a WrapSit sofa? LOL.
Whoaaaa….I LOVE this item! Years ago my mother gifted me with a portable fabric kennel, and I thought that was a great idea. This is terrific with the chair. Fantastic for campers! Love that RV pic of your crew of cuties, too!
What a great idea for people who travel or go out with their dogs. A safe place to get away from the sun and everything else.
My dog Nelly would have loved this when we used to go to the kids’ soccer games! She’s always in my lap or at my feet.
