Let’s talk about dog grooming! Dogs are the best. I LOVE my dogs more than life itself. That being said, dogs are not exactly clean creatures. I mean, my cat goes outside and comes in pretty much the same way she looked when she went out. My dogs on the other hand… they somehow manage to come in covered in mud when it hasn’t rained for a week.
Portable Grooming for the Dirtiest Dogs
All dogs are dirty to some extent, but if you have an adventurous pack like mine, they get dirtier than most. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to hold my breath on the drive home from a hike because one of these nuts decided to roll in… I don’t even want to know what. Something dead, I’m sure. So, when we heard about Dexas’ new line of grooming gadgets, I knew we had to try them out.

The first Dexas grooming gadget to hit the market was the MudBuster™, which we’ve been using for a little over a year now. It’s an ingenious design that allows you to wash your dog’s muddy, nasty feet without giving them a bath (and making a huge mess). Plus, it’s super easy to use. Just fill the MudBuster with water and put your dog’s paws inside one at a time. Then gently twist the MudBuster and let the silicone bristles gently loosen all the dirt.
I love it because not only does it work really well, it’s also super portable. I leave one in my SUV for quick clean-ups after especially muddy or sandy hikes.
See our full review here for details on how it works and why we love it.
Dexas’ new ScrubBuster™ may be one of my new all-time favorite grooming tools. It’s such a simple concept yet it works way better than I ever imagined it would. It was especially handy when we were on our recent 3 week cross-country road trip. We hiked everyday and camped in the sand most nights, so we all all pretty gross, to put it mildly. Every few days, we would rent a cabin or stay in a cheap hotel room for a bit of creature comfort. You know, like a bed and running water.
We were hauling all of our gear, clothing and food in my SUV, plus 2 humans and 2 dogs, so it’s safe to say that space was limited. I am SO glad that I decided to take this magical little grooming tool with us. It’s compact in size but packs a big punch.
Like all of Dexas’ grooming tools, it utilizes soft yet strong silicone bristles, making it both effective and comfortable for your dog. That, paired with a built-in shampoo reservoir makes for fast, easy dog baths. Just put your favorite shampoo in, screw on the cap, press down on the silicone “button” on top, and get to lathering. The bristles reach all the way down to your dog’s skin for a deep, thorough clean. Even on longer haired dogs like Helo.
We all know that grooming your dog doesn’t end at baths. Regular brushing helps to keep your dog’s coat healthy. It prevents matts, helps with shedding, and gives their coat that healthy shine. But not all dogs enjoy being brushed. I know that’s the truth in our house, especially with our senior dog Helo. And boy does he need to be brushed. I love his long, beautiful black hair, but I don’t really want it all over the couch, the floor, and my clothing.
The new BrushBuster™ from Dexas gently loosens dirt and hair without the fuss. Its silicone bristles have small raised bumps at the ends, which Dexas calls these the “tri-nibs.” They help to massage your dog’s skin while you brush and grab onto loose dirt and hair. While he’s not a fan of most brushes, Helo doesn’t seem to mind being brushed with the BrushBuster at all. The soft, silicone bristles make brushing a lot more comfortable for him, which also makes it easier for me. And a whole lot faster! Roxie and Boomer like it so much that they lean into it while I brush them. Roxie even groans… LOL!
Perhaps my favorite thing about this brush is that I can use it on all of my dogs. With 4 wildly different breeds of dogs, it’s unusual to find a product, let alone a brush, that works for all of them. The BrushBuster works like a charm on Helo’s long, thick hair, Boomer’s short, slick coat and even Ringo and Roxie’s short, coarse coats.
Plus, you can use the BrushBuster on dry OR wet hair. It even works in the tub!
Good to GO!
Between these 3 revolutionary grooming tools, Dexas has your dog grooming needs pretty well covered. Best of all, they’re all small, portable, and easy to clean, which means you can take them with you wherever you go. I know we won’t be leaving home without them, just in case!
Does your dog like being groomed? Or is bath time a chore? Maybe it’s time to try some new Dexas grooming gadgets!
