Camping is one of our favorite summer pastimes and it’s even more fun when you bring you dog! For newbies, camping can seem a bit overwhelming. You can probably pack an overnight bag for a hotel stay in all of 5 minutes, but you need a lot more than that for a successful camping trip. The last thing you want is to find yourself at your campsite missing something important. For us, it’s usually a can opener.
To help set you up for camping success (without the stress), I’ve designed a camping checklist for both you AND YOUR DOG. Clothing, hygiene products, camping gear, and everything you need for your dog too! Plus, it’s a printable.

I hope you find our human & dog camping checklist helpful as you plan your next camping adventure. Now all that’s left to do it load up the car and the dogs and head to the woods. Have fun, take lots of pictures, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Great list!
I camped for the first time in Germany near the flooded banks of the Rhine. Since then, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I’ve camped, it rained. And I still love it.
But it’s why we always brought a large tarp and rope with us. Being able to rig shelter over an eating area made even a rainy camping trip more fun.
Thanks Pamela. Glad you enjoyed the list. That’s crazy that it always rains on you! Good for you for still enjoying it and continuing to brave the weather. A tarp is a good addition to this list. I usually don’t bring one, but I probably should, as there have definitely been times when I could have used one. We always bring paracord, which is on the list, so the rope part we have covered. You’re right, being trapped in a tent during the rain is only fun for so long. LOL. Thanks for your input and for reading!! 🙂
