It all started with this cute little collapsible travel cup that we picked up at a state park on a whim. We had never even heard of Dexas before and had been using those foldable fabric dog bowls for forever. You know, the ones that don’t stand up quite right and that you have to stuff in your pack afterwards, risking everything else getting wet. Well, this cute little bowl started quite the trend in our house. A year or so later and it still looks and works like it’s brand new, making it our go-to bowl for hikes!
Knowing how awesome and durable that Dexas’ products are, we were really excited to partner with them and help review the rest of their Popware for Pets product line. Now we use them for everything. Hiking, camping, road trips, weekends in our camper, and at home. Here are a few of our favorite products and how we use and abuse them on our adventures (and how they stand up).

ON THE TRAIL
Collapsable Travel Cup with Bottle Holder and Carabiner
From the beginning, this handy little cup has been our favorite. Clip it to your dog’s pack, or your own, or even hook it onto the top of a standard water bottle and you’re on your way. Large enough for quick water breaks, but small enough that you don’t have to waste a whole bunch of water filling it enough for your pup to drink from it. This is especially handy if your dogs are like ours and drink sparingly on hikes. When you’re done, just shake it out and clip it back on your pack to air dry on the hike out.
CAMPING
Double Feeder Bowls & Collapsible Travel Cups
We used to lug around stainless steel bowls for car camping trips and those annoying fabric bowls for backpacking. The stainless steel bowls take up a lot of space. The biggest issue with the fabric ones was that the dogs would always bump into them and spill water everywhere, plus they got dirty really easily and were hard to clean, especially without access to a sink.
Now we bring a double feeder bowl (and a few smaller collapsible travel cups) on all of our camping trips. For car camping, the double feeders are perfect. They collapse down flat, which makes them really transportable PLUS their sturdy build means they hold up to all the abuse they get put through being carted around all over the place. From us, from the dogs, from being thrown in the back of my SUV. Because they’re silicone and not fabric, they’re also easy to wipe down after you use them and pack away clean for the trip home. For hike-in campsites, the smaller collapsable travel cups are the way to go. They have the same easy-to-clean benefits as the larger double feeders, while being a lot more portable, and still plenty big enough for mealtimes.
ON THE ROAD
Collapsible Travel Cups
Small and easy to stash in a seat pocket or your center console, the collapsible travel cup is probably the bowl that we use most. Great for trips to the park, camping, hiking, and even road trips. It’s lightweight and super portable, plus the carabiner clip means you can hook it onto basically anything, making sure you’re never left without a bowl when you need one. We have one that permanently lives in my truck, just in case.
IN THE CAMPER
Double Feeder, Pet Bowl Grippmat & Collapsible Klipscoop
Dexas’s Popware for Pets line is perfect for small spaces. Their products have been lifesavers in our little camper. The bowls take up minimal storage space, which is great because we have like, none, in our tiny camper with 2 humans and 4 dogs. The grippmat catches all the crumbs and water from our sloppy eaters and as a bonus, they save us from sliding all over the place on slippery, wet floors. Completing the package are the collapsible klipscoops, which function as both a clip for your dog’s food and a scoop for perfect portions on the go! We have one in both a 1 cup and 2 cup size! Between these 3 items, Dexas has our bases more than covered for “glamping” in our camper.
AT HOME
Double Feeder Bowl
While the portability of the Dexas Popware for Pets line is what excited us the most from the beginning, their products are made so well that they’re also great for everyday use. We loved the double feeder and grip mat in the camper so much that we started using a similar setup at home, but with the Double Elevated Feeder. It’s a little bulkier than the non-elevated version, so it takes up a little too much space in the camper, but it’s the perfect size for home use.
We use both bowls for water to keep our crazy pack of 4 dogs hydrated. The bowls are removable for easy cleaning. The coordinating GRIPPMAT has been a lifesaver at home too, especially with Helo, who likes to drink and run, dribbling all over the place. The silicone bowls and mat are both easy to clean. Dirt and dog hair rinse right off in the sink, unlike other dog bowl mats that we’ve tried over the years. An added bonus is that when we go on vacation, it’ll also be really easy to take with us, allowing the dogs to use the same bowl that they’re used to from home. Creature comforts always help make the pups a little more comfortable when we’re in a strange place.
Dexas Popware for Pets truly has a bowl (or 3) for everyone, everywhere, no matter how big or small the adventure, or the dog. See their complete line of pet products on their site here.
